Student Engagement

College goes beyond the classroom — it’s an experience. At Crown, there’s always something going on. We have teams dedicated to creating fantastic events, and whether it’s a local outing or a special event on campus, there is something for everyone!

Olivia Willsey

COORDINATOR OF STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

Student Activities Board

The Student Activities Board (SAB) is a team of students who assist in the mission of Student Development by developing quality community-building initiatives, activities, and events for Crown students. They are involved in the process of brainstorming, planning, creating, preparing, executing, and evaluating SAB initiatives. SAB plans many of our events at Crown.

Intramural Sports

Throughout the year, Crown offers intramural seasons for those who just love the game. The goal of intramural sports is to provide excellent student experiences through sports, recreation, team-bonding activities, friendship, and leadership development. Whether basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, ping pong, video games, cornhole, or any other activities, intramural sports provide an excellent opportunity to gather friends and form teams to compete.

Annual Events

Mock Rock

Join fellow students, faculty, and staff for one of the most anticipated nights of the year. This totally hilarious, lip-synced, choreographed, and fiercely competitive musical madness is an annual highlight where you can become a Mock Rockstar.

Faculty and Staff Hide-and-Seek

The Mall of America is 4,870,000 square feet. In other words, it’s the perfect size for a giant game of hide-and-seek—and it’s just 30 minutes from campus. Search for familiar faculty and staff who have disguised themselves and spend an evening with friends as you search (and shop) to win the grand prize.

Late Night Live

“Live from St. Bonifacius, it’s Late Night Live!” Come watch the live comedy sketch show that promises to keep you laughing. Late Night Live (LNL) is one of the most anticipated nights of the year! You won’t want to miss it!

Annual Gala

It’s a dress-to-the-nines kind of night! Sometimes, you just need a reason to dress your best, and the Annual Gala presents the perfect opportunity. Celebrate seniors with the classiest event of the year and finish the night with a dance party.

Allen Film Fest

Lights, camera, film fest! Our students work on film projects all year to showcase their beautiful stories at the Allen Film Fest. Named after one of the founding professors of the communication program, the Allen Film Fest is truly a night to remember.

At Crown College, we value and understand the need for a culture of belonging and global engagement, striving towards true unity in Christ as affirmed in the scriptures. The student groups listed below are formed to give students a place to belong at Crown.

International Student Club

International Student Club is an on-campus club open to all international students. This club values the special bond between those who have international experiences, encouraging and promoting the sharing of these experiences within the Crown community.

TCK (Third Culture Kids) Group

The TCK group is designed for students who were raised on the mission field or in internationally mobile families. It provides a space for them to connect over shared experiences and offer support to one another as they navigate cultural transitions.

Black Student Union

Through unity and fellowship and fostering cultural awareness, Black Student Union (BSU) provides students with a welcoming, Christ-centered community. BSU’s mission is to create an environment for students to celebrate their unique gifts, while also exploring what it means to find identity through Christ. This group is welcome to all students.
