Crown College Breaks Ground For New Residence Hall

St. Bonifacius, MN September 14th, 2022 – On August 31st Crown College broke ground for its new residence hall. The event was a huge success as several alumni and guests joined the community to celebrate this achievement. A chapel service was held in the morning before the groundbreaking. There President Denton spoke, saying, “The Lord has been faithful to Crown College and continues to be faithful today as we break ground for our new residence hall. This is an important project in this new season of excellence and growth.” The residence hall is the most significant building project in two decades.

Based on student feedback and national studies, where students live while on-campus has some of the most critical impacts on their experience. In the residence halls, students find meaningful community, learn to find a new level of independence, study, and find fellowship.

This Residence Hall is scheduled to open Fall of 2023 and will be located on the southwest side of campus. This hall will provide housing for freshmen men and women and will be outfitted with suite-style living with intentional community living amenities.

Inside, will have a total of three floors and 144 beds, 48 beds per floor, in 8 suites. Each suite will have a community living space, two-bathroom units, and three double bedrooms. Each floor will have a large community space, a full kitchen, and study rooms.

The new residence hall groundbreaking came shortly following the completion of six major capital projects this summer, a 7-million-dollar investment into our facilities.
