Crown College’s Graduate School of Ministry programs have received accreditation from the Association of Theological Schools (ATS). This prestigious additional accreditation provides students and prospective students with the assurance of Crown’s academically excellent and robust theological education. Dr. Andrew C. Denton, President of Crown College, stated, “This is a significant step forward for Crown College’s vision of becoming the Midwest boldly Christian college. I express my deepest appreciation to the late Dr. Zell for his dedication to leading Crown’s Graduate School of Ministry and spearheading our efforts to obtain ATS accreditation.”
Dr. Bill Kuhn, Dean of Crown College School of Theology + Ministry, added, “ATS accreditation validates the quality of theological education provided by the Graduate School of Ministry at Crown College. It affirms that the program is fulfilling its mission to prepare Christian Ministry leaders who think biblically, live authentically, and serve skillfully in the Christian and Missionary Alliance, the church-at-large, and the world. ”
The newly ATS-accredited programs encompass a range of disciplines, including M.A.s in Christian Studies, Global Leadership, Ministry Leadership, and Pastoral Counseling, as well as a Master of Divinity.
The Graduate School of Ministry programs are designed to meet the needs of students regardless of their life context, with courses held primarily online and optimized for an effective online learning environment. ATS accreditation provides Crown’s graduate theological programs a structure for continuous improvement and expands opportunities for students to launch into ministry and further education.
Crown College is honored to have received this important accreditation and acknowledgment of our academic excellence. President Denton remarked, “ATS accreditation assures our students will receive maximum benefit from Crown’s theological education as they pursue their calling to serve God and His Kingdom.”
