My primary research interests include Luke-Acts, Koine Greek, Jesus and the Gospels, and the development of Old Testament Ideas in New Testament texts.
Currently writing The Heroic Christ: The Hero’s Journey in Luke’s Gospel, with Cascade Press, due out in 2025.
Engaging with New Testament documents—particularly the stories of Jesus and the early church in Luke-Acts—show us the best examples of what living in the upside-down kingdom of God looks like. At Crown, our students have an amazing opportunity to “seek first the kingdom of God” in community with the faculty, staff, and one another. What an extraordinary privilege!
