Residence Life
Supporting Lifelong Authentic Community
Our Residence Life staff—Resident Assistants (RAs) and Resident Directors (RDs)—help foster community by living within the communities that they serve. RAs and RDs support students by providing an excellent residential experience and creating an environment for developing close relationships.
A Note from John Hyttsten
Dean of Students
As the Dean of Students at Crown College, I’ve been serving students in Residence Life programs for over 15 years. It has been a blessing to walk alongside students as they grow and develop through the experience of living in community with one another. In my own experience as a Crown student, I grew and was stretched in significant ways that I am still thankful for, many years later.
Living on campus provides the opportunity for students to navigate life away from home in the context of a Christian Community. I am excited to continue to be a part of providing a space where we build intentional community and facilitate transformational change for Crown students.
Residence Halls
Crown College residence halls are blank canvases for you to design your new home. With a variety of housing options to choose from, you can confidently call our campus home. All residence halls are designated by gender. Each residence hall room is equipped with one bed, dresser, wardrobe/closet, desk, and chair per student. Laundry facilities and other amenities are shared. To ensure safety, residential buildings are secured with limited access, and a professional staff member lives in each area.
