Crown College Begins Major Renovation Project After Receiving Two $500,000 Gifts.
This May, Crown College will begin renovating the East Wing classrooms, a project totaling approximately 1.7 million dollars. This project is possible largely due to two $500,000 gifts from generous anonymous donors newly associated with Crown. While fundraising is continuing for portions of this project, the Crown College Board of Trustees approved the project start.
The East Wing project will finalize classroom renovations and include a new classroom layout, adding a student lounge area, state-of-the-art teaching technology, hyflex classroom furniture, carpet, and new HVAC.
“These renovated classrooms will allow our students and faculty to engage with class content in new and innovative ways. Crown College is committed to academic excellence, and these significant donations and renovated classrooms will advance our ability to strengthen our student and faculty academic achievement,” said President Andrew Denton.
This classroom remodel will be completed by August 2024 and builds on nearly 18 million dollars of facility investments over the past two years. Facility improvements include a new residence hall and renovations of our west wing classrooms, lecture hall, dining center, student center, welcome center, apartment-style residence halls, locker rooms, athletic training room, campus store, and athletic weight room. Projects have been possible through donations and other investments without raising tuition.
