My clinical background focuses on medical-surgical and surgical nursing. My doctoral educational background, professional focus and research agenda primarily focuses on leadership, interprofessional training, communication, teamwork, and surgical services.

Grant receiving for Undergraduate Research Opportunity Project (UROP) “Strategies used to promote retention in a clinical trial about managing the sensitive problem of fecal incontinence.

  • Midwest Nursing Research Society Conference with 1st place finish in Undergraduate Research Poster on above project working in collaboration with Dr. Donna Bliss and 1st place at University of Minnessota Undergraduate Poster presentation (2007)

Developed an evidenced based project to improve interprofessional education using a partnership-based model approach to implementing TeamSTEPPS (AHRQ, 2014)

Dissemination of the doctoral project, “TeamSTEPPS within a Midwestern Hospital” within Minnesota Hospital Association and Allina Hospital at organizational level presentations (2014)

Voted in 2014 as MN March of Dime Nominee within Surgical Services
