Discipleship approaches to incarcerated youth. Urban ministries. Peacemaking practices.
Christian education is an important element in God’s plan for the church in preparing believers. The Lord Jesus identifies teaching as a key function in disciple making (Matthew 28:19-20). Paul, the apostle, listed teachers as one of the ministry gifts that was given by Christ to help bring the body of Christ to full maturity (Ephesians 4:11-16). I integrate faith and teaching, learning and research in my discipline at Crown College by approaching Scripture as absolute truth, using my position as a teacher to influence the spiritual formation of students, and helping students to develop critical thinking skills in the framework of the Biblical worldview.
