Dr Tim Evans has worked for Bethany Christian Services in Grand Rapids, Michigan, providing individual, group, family, TFCBT Trauma, and substance abuse counseling to children, teens, and adults, since 1998. He also currently serves as the program director and supervisor for the Home-Based Counseling and Community Living Support programs at Bethany. While at Bethany, he further worked as an instructor for a program known as Life Skills. He has taught for LUO since August of 2010. Dr Evans has also taught both residential-intensive and online classes for a Professional Master’s counseling program for a small Christian college in Minneapolis. Dr Evans earned a BA in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor University, an MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, as well a PhD in Professional Counseling from Liberty. He has been a Licensed Professional ‘Counselor since 1998 and became a Certified Advanced Drug and Alcohol Counselor shortly after his full LPC licensure. He has served on several professional counseling boards and committees, including a current Critical Case Review Committee. Since 1990, he has given numerous professional presentations, and led several professional trainings. He recently finished a research project and is starting another, with the hope to publish them both. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Counseling Association. He enjoys challenging students to think about the many ways that they can impact the lives of others.
