ICS 346 - Advanced Intercultural Relations

May be accomplished on campus or while on study abroad (offered online, synchronous meetings required). Intercultural frame-shifting and continua are studied in depth, along with an introduction to critical studies in communication and the postcolonial perspective. Students will reflect on the role of culture in their cross-cultural experiences.

CHM 140 - Foundations of Discipleship Ministries

This course focuses on the fundamental principles and practices at the core of any strategy of building disciples of Jesus Christ. Students will gain insight into their sense of calling to ministry and specific giftedness. They will also gain an overview of the specializations offered in the major and exposure to each of the professors teaching those specializations.

DSC 354 - Faith Development of Young People

This course examines the dynamics of how faith develops within the lives of children and youth related to the work of the Holy Spirit and theories of cognitive, moral, psycho/social, and faith development. Current research related to faith and brain development will be analyzed within a biblical perspective.

Our faculty to student ratio is 17:1. We intentionally aim to keep our class sizes small. This allows us to maintain academic excellence and strong relationships between faculty and students. At Crown College, every student is a person and not just another number.
